The Gospel

Why do I include the Gospel in each of my books, and what exactly is the Gospel?

The Gospel is the story of God redeeming his beautiful creation—the creation that sin shattered. It is the story of his unfathomable love for us, a love that sent his one and only Son Jesus to die a sinner’s death on a Roman cross 2,000 years ago.

It is the story of that suffering savior rising victorious over sin and death, inviting us into the family of God as forgiven, redeemed children— “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” –John 3:16

We can enter into God’s family when we turn away from our sin, admit that we are sinners that fall short of God’s glorious standard, and commit to living our lives for him— “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,  and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus…” –Romans 3:23-24

As a redeemed child of God, it is my desire to see more and more sinners redeemed by Jesus’ blood, and that is why all of my books contain this Gospel message. For a bit more of this glorious story, you can watch the video below.
